Born and raised in a small town in Macedonia, my aspirations in life have always exceeded the limitations imposed by my cultural background and the political environment. I got the creative genes from my artist mom and my entrepreneurial spirit from my small business owner dad, so it was on me to find out how to use those traits to my advantage.

First attempt: Picking a major in college — Architecture. Fail. Dropped out after a semester.

Second attempt: Picking another major — Tourism. Graduated summa cum laude.

Now what?

How it Started

I’ve always been good at storytelling — so much that teachers often accused me of cheating on writing exams. So when I was offered the position of SEO Content Writer in an Australian digital marketing agency just a week before I graduated, I accepted it immediately despite having zero clue what SEO is.

Once in, my never-ending curiosity pushed me to learn and seek more. Hence, after a while, I landed a Digital Marketing Manager role in an early-stage British startup, where I was able to expand my knowledge and skills.

All along, I was discovering where my strengths and interests in the Digital Marketing world lie. Unsurprisingly, it turned out to be in content. I say “unsurprisingly” because it’s the less-intrusive type of marketing that creates a large amount of value — a field that aligns perfectly with my personal beliefs and values.

My Path to Human

After three years of living back and forth between France and Macedonia, I was finally ready to move to the US.

New continent, new life, new job.

Once I landed in California, I started freelancing for startups and small businesses. But I didn’t feel fulfilled, so I knew I needed to find a job that would allow me to use my skillset and expand my horizons.

After a couple of nervous breakdowns, imposter syndrome attacks, God-knows-how-many job applications, and interviews, I found exactly what I had been looking for: the position of SEO Content Manager at the most human digital marketing agency, Human.

I’m beyond excited to roll up my sleeves and pick a fight or two with Google’s algorithms and bring wins for our clients. The harder the fight, the more motivated I am!

And when I’m not geeking out about keywords and stuff, you can find me reading fiction on the beach, or indulging my wanderlust by exploring California with my Canon, always ready to immortalize memories.
